Carriage Park Welcomes Home Residents

Q2 marks an exciting chapter for Carriage Park, as the community continues to grow and welcome new residents home.

After launching leasing in Q1, momentum quickly built as interest in the community expanded. By Q2, the first residents began moving in, bringing the neighborhood to life and beginning to create the sense of home Carriage Park was designed for.

As leasing continues to grow, we look forward to welcoming even more residents and continuing to build a thriving community that reflects Homestead’s commitment to quality living.

A Clearer Look at Britton Park

With new renderings now available, Britton Park Apartments is offering a more defined look into the design and lifestyle coming to Hilliard.

Located just off Britton Parkway near downtown Hilliard, the community reflects a continued evolution of Homestead’s “Park” product – focused on intentional design, elevated amenities, and everyday livability.

The latest visuals showcase thoughtfully designed 1 and 2 bedroom apartments paired with a robust amenity collection, including a resort-style pool, fitness center, yoga studio, sauna, coffee lounge, and pickleball court. Together, these spaces are designed to support both relaxation and routine.

Alongside these updates, the Britton Park website is now live as an evolving landing page, created to introduce the community, share updates as construction progresses, and gather early interest from future residents.

While construction continues to progress on-site, these renderings offer a closer look at what residents can expect as Britton Park moves steadily toward becoming a vibrant new community.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Builders

Homestead Construction had the privilege of spending the day with students at Worthington Park Elementary School in Melanie Brinich’s classes – daughter of John Brinich, President of Homestead Construction.

As part of their architecture and construction unit, students worked through the full building process — from reading blueprints and filing “permits” to passing inspections and constructing their own birdhouses. Once completed, the projects were installed in the school courtyard on a custom stand built by our construction team, ready for their new feathered residents 🐦🏡

A special thank you to John Brinich, Tyler Barton, and Chad Plowman for volunteering their time and bringing real-world construction experience into the classroom, helping create a fully immersive day complete with custom vests, construction pencils, and tape measures for the students.

We’re proud to support moments that inspire future builders and creators!

Leadership in Action: Q2 CEO Summits

Q2 brought two impactful CEO Summits that brought together Homestead leadership teams across both student housing and senior living, reinforcing a shared commitment to collaboration, strategy, and elevating the resident experience.

Our HU CEO Summit kicked things off at River Gate in Athens, Ohio, where our student housing leaders gathered for several days of training, teamwork, and idea-sharing. The sessions created space to connect across properties, exchange best practices, and challenge one another to think more strategically about continued improvement. The energy and insights from these discussions are already helping strengthen how we operate across our student communities.

That momentum carried into our Senior Living CEO Summit, held in Columbus at Versa Coworking and our Home Office. Over two days, our Homestead Senior Living leadership team aligned on the future vision for Homestead Village and our broader active adult portfolio. Presentations from marketing and operations teams sparked collaborative conversations focused on enhancing resident lifestyle and elevating the overall experience across our five communities.

We were also grateful to hear from CEO Dave Anderson, who shared the origin story of Homestead Village and his vision for its continued growth and long-term impact.

From Athens to Columbus, these summits reinforced a unified direction across Homestead – grounded in teamwork, innovation, and a shared commitment to the residents and families we serve.

These milestones reflect the reliability, teamwork, and drive shown across every step of the leasing process.

Success at this level doesn’t happen by chance – it’s the result of teams that consistently rise to the challenge, support one another, and stay focused on delivering outstanding service!

Celebrating Anne Smith's Retirement

We had the pleasure of celebrating an incredible milestone as we gathered to honor Anne and her retirement from Homestead Companies.

For the past six years, Anne has served as our Controller, bringing dedication, professionalism, and a steady presence to our team. Her contributions have helped shape our company, and we are grateful for the impact she has made throughout her time with us.

As she embarks on a well-earned retirement, Anne looks forward to spending more time working in the yard, tackling projects around the house, and enjoying quality time with her husband and beloved dogs – a fitting reward after years of dedicated service.

Thank you, Anne, for your commitment and friendship. We wish you all the best on this exciting new adventure!

Continued Celebration of UV

University Village, our student housing community at The Ohio State University, was proudly awarded a Must Stay Winner by Uhomes back in the fall 🏆️

Recently, they had the pleasure of welcoming Uhomes Founder and CEO Jason Yin and members of their New York team to the community. During their visit, they presented the award in person, toured the property, and hosted a live broadcast showcasing UV while discussing the student housing market.

This award reflects more than just a successful partnership – it is a testament to the trust, confidence, and strong sense of belonging that international students have found at UV. Through exceptional resident experiences, strong student reviews, and a high number of successful rentals through Uhomes in 2025, UV earned this well-deserved distinction.

We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to serving students from around the world. Congratulations to the entire UV team on this achievement, and here’s to even greater success ahead!
